I don’t think I went for any long gaming session without coming away with something for my character.

It’s exciting to play for long sessions because the game is very smart about incrementally giving you better equipment. To streamline things, gold is automatically picked up and items will auto-equip if you are not wearing one already. If it is better than the item you have, green arrows will show up to designate whether it’s better in attack, durability or magic. When you pick up an item it is easy to see whether or not the item is an upgrade to what you currently own. The feeling of looking for loot and fighting frantically in dizzying battles is not lost in translation. You won’t miss clicking the left mouse button - you will be clicking action buttons on the controller feverishly as you mow down your enemies. Instead of using a mouse, you use the thumb sticks to easily point and aim in the direction you wish to attack or move. Controls are easy to learn and they can be customized extensively. The control scheme and heads-up display are nearly perfect. This “Ultimate Evil Edition” contains “Diablo III” and the “Reaper of Souls” expansion optimized for your current-generation console. I especially loved the 2012 edition of the PC game and chose to skip over the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 port a year later. I have been a big fan of the Diablo series since its older PC days. Finally available for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, “Diablo III” translates wonderfully to controllers and HD televisions. “Diablo III Reaper of Souls: Ultimate Evil Edition” surprised me at how good a high-end PC port to home console could be.
